Zuku ventures into telephony

Zuku, has kicked off a 86 million shillings major project to revitalize its voice telephony service provision capacity.

The project that would be completed this month is expected to enable the firm to support full voice telephony provision for Zuku triple-play subscribers.

Since the inception of digital migration Kenya’s telecommunication industry  has seen tremendous growth and as such various stakeholders are  revamping their services so as to remain competitive in the in the industry.

The 86 million shillings project will involve the integration of a delivery platform technically known as a Soft Switch system, which will see, the firm, provide fully-fledged voice telephony services.

The firm says the project that is expected to be completed by end of this month would support broadband, multi-channel digital television and voice telephony for its subscribers.

Meanwhile, a group of investors have teamed up with the Lari Investment Community to set up a 180 million shillings worth of lodge at Kereita forest in Lari.

African Safari lodges intends to set up a 60 bed facility inside the forest with various entertainment zones being designed to give it a spectacular tourism attraction centre.

The project is expected to be completed by September this year.
