The legal process to eject the Attorney General from office has begun with the justice committee now calling for public participation in the exercise.

In a paid advertisement, the committee is asking members of the public to submit their views through affidavits on the suitability of Githu Muigai to the committee.

The removal of the AG is being engineered by the Law Society of Kenya who filed a petition that was received by the national assembly seeking his removal.

The justice committee is giving the public one week period  to forward their views to the  office of the clerk or email clerk@parliament.go.ke.

The LSK initiated the move to remove the AG on grounds that he bungled the Anglo-Leasing case in UK and Switzerland, forcing the government to pay 1.3 billion shillings as demanded.
