Leopards had played four matches without a win

Eight Kenyan Premier League matches are on card this weekend across the country with the match of the weekend set for Sunday at the Nyayo national stadium, where archrivals AFC Leopards face leaders Gor Mahia in their second leg encounter.

AFC Leopards are having the worst season ever in the Kenyan premier league having won just five of the 18 matches they have played so far, one of them a 3-1 win over rivals Gor Mahia.

Gor Mahia are leading the table with a record 11 wins, better than any other team in the league so far this season, and are 15 points above their opponents Leopards.

Gor Mahia has not tasted defeat since they lost to Leopards on 8th June while AFC Leopards have won just one of the five matches they have played since then.

But before the crunch match three matches are on card Friday.

Ulinzi Stars will host City Stars in the first encounter at the Afraha stadium before Top Fry play Muhoroni Youth in the second match at the same venue.

The other match will see Mathare United clash with KCB at the City stadium.

Besides the AFC Leopards verses Gor Mahia match on Sunday, Tusker FC will travel to Mombasa to face Bandari, Western Stima host Sofapaka in Mumias, Thika United will be at home against KRA who will be missing the services of suspended Philemon Otieno and Ivan Anguyo  while Sony Sugar visit Chemelil Sugar.
