English Service

The KBC English Service is the oldest Radio Station in the country, going back to 1928 when it was set up by the white settlers.

Over the decades, the station has been able to stand the test of time by finding the perfect balance between paying homage to the past while maintaining relevance to the present.

The Station reaches over 8 million Kenyans and provides an array of programs that cater for everyone. From Children’s Programs to Radio Theater shows, from the timeless Sundowner to The Breakfast Show, from Late Date to Midday Melodies the Station has a wide range of products to ensure that our mission statement to entertain, inform and educate is fulfilled.

In partnership with the Kenya Institute of Education, The KBC English Service has schools’ programs which are transmitted to schools all over the country on weekdays from 8.30- 4.40pm.

Headed by Bill Odidi, a veteran of broadcasting with over 12 years experience in media, the Station brings together a team of creative, witty and dedicated presenters and producers.
