German business delegations to visit Kenya

Two German business delegations are visiting Nairobi to explore trade and investment opportunities in the health and water sectors in Kenya.

The participants include more than 25 small and medium-sized companies as well as inter-trade organizations representing the health and water sectors in Germany.

They aim at familiarizing themselves with the Kenyan market and finding business partners for joint ventures and trade relations.

German companies offer up-to-date technology and they are ready to cooperate with Kenyan partners to tap the great potential of the Kenyan market.

German Deputy Ambassador Friedo Sielelemann who welcomed the health sector delegation said:

“German-Kenyan business relations are on a good trajectory. Kenya offers a good market potential itself and as a hub to the East African region German Government supports a stronger engagement of German companies.”

The visit is jointly organized by the Delegation of German Industry and Commerce in Kenya, the Kenya Healthcare Federation (KHF), trAIDe (consultancy), the German industrial association SPECTARIS and the German Healthcare Partnership.

The Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy works closely with the German private sector to develop instruments for foreign trade and investment promotion such as this business trip.

Thus, Germany actively promotes stronger trade relations between Kenya and Germany.

In Kenya, the German Embassy and the Delegation of German Industry and Commerce provide assistance both to Kenyan and German companies.
