GFE 105 beat Gor Mahia on post match penalties

Reigning Kenyan premier champions Gor Mahia have been bundled out of the GOTv shield cup after losing 4-2 on postmatch penalties against GFE in the third round of the tournament at the newly refurbished Moi Kisumu Stadium.

The game ended in a 1-1 draw in regulation time, forcing the match to go to spot kicks where Simon Mburu and Musa Mohammed’s penalties were saved.

Both teams played to a 1-1 draw in regulation time.

In other matches Agrochemicals advanced to the Gotv  Shield Cup last sixteen after  edging out Nairobi Stima 1-0.

The Muhoroni based side scored the lone goal through Michael Musyoka who capitalized on a defensive lapse  to bury in a low shot past Stima keeper, John Oyemba in the fourth minute.

Ulinzi Stars trounced Mumbi Nationale 6-0, Nairobi City Stars lost 2-1 against Wazito FC while Inter City defeated Top Fry All Stars 2-0.
