Defending champions Gor Mahia FC have stretched their lead at the top of the Kenyan Premier League to six points after narrowly beating Top Fry All Stars 1-0  at the City stadium Wednesday.

Gor Mahia’s lone goal was netted by Simon Pierre in the 9th minute.

The reigning champions moved three points above Tusker FC over the weekend following their 2-0 win over Western Stima and Tusker’s 1-0 loss to Sony Sugar, and have now opened a six point gap as they seek to retain the title they lifted last year after an 18 year drought.

Gor Mahia now sit at the helm of the table on 37 points, six points above second placed Tusker FC and play AFC Leopards, who beat them 3-1 in the first leg, in their next encounter on the 27th of this month at the Nyayo national stadium.

KRA will be in action on Thursday against Bandari at the Nyayo national stadium in the other midweek encounter while Muhoroni Youth will play Sony Sugar on Friday in the last league encounter of the week.
