Government to realign staffing in public service

The government will in the next four months come up with strategy to realign structures and staffing in public service both at the county and national levels.

The process which is anticipated to cause political jitters as some public servants will be laid off service has been termed as a crucial step to reform the public service to make it more effective and efficient.

Devolution cabinet secretary Ann Waiguru says the government will capture biometric data of public servants and evaluate job description to get rid of incompetent employees.

The government is however urging against politicization of the exercise assuring public servants that they will be re-trained in rationalization process.

    That decition is highly welcome becouse the laxity found wih public employees enamanates from lack of proper training which eventualy frustrates learned ones creating apathy hence hampering service delicery resulting in blame games.If we can have qualified personel in all sectors displine will find its way .
