The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission is Monday afternoon expected to meet invited presidential candidates at a Nairobi hotel to discuss modalities of hiring the firm that will be charged with printing presidential ballot papers.
This follows the decision by a three judge bench last Friday to cancel the tender that had been awarded to the Dubai based printing firm Al-Ghurair citing lack of public participation.
It is not clear whether NASA Presidential flag bearer Raila Odinga who was taken ill last evening during his tour of Kilifi County will attend the meeting.
However reports indicate President Uhuru Kenyatta who is Monday touring Turkana County on a vote hunting mission has sent Jubilee party Secretary General Raphael Tuju to hold brief for him.
