The Institution of Surveyors of Kenya (ISK) has launched a public oriented SMS service to curb the growing menace of quacks in the land and property sector Kenya.

Speaking at the ISK offices Thursday, Chairman Stephen Ambani said that there has been a challenge across the country in accessing information on the legitimate, registered and licensed land professionals.

This he says was because of the huge number of quacks who had been taking advantage gap to mislead the public.

“In order to assist members of the public in their interaction with ISK professionals and to ensure they do not engage quacks, the Institution has launched this SMS platform. Through the service, members of the public can get details on the professionals they intend to engage” the Chairman noted.
