National soccer team Harambee Stars defeated Malawi 1-0 in an international friendly match played Tuesday at Kasarani stadium in Nairobi.
Kenya used the match to prepare for their forthcoming 2019 Africa Cup of nations qualifier against Ethiopia away next month.
Smarting from their 1-0 defeat of Ghana, Harambee Stars sought to continue with the momentum against Malawi ranked 11 places below them.
Head coach Sebastien Migne stuck to the same side that beat Ghana on Saturday.
After a barren first half, Migne did make a couple of changes and the introduction of Erick ‘Marcello’ Ouma proved vital with the Albanian based winger providing a dangerous cross in the 78th minute that was tapped home by Francis Kahata.
