Kenya has been granted the rights to host the 2018 CHAN Championship.

In a statement, FKF Chairman Sam Nyamweya said they have received official communication from CAF after a successful bidding process.

The statement says the decision to award Kenya the hosting rights was passed by a special CAF Executive Committee meeting held in Cairo, Egypt last Friday.

In this regard, Nyamweya has challenged County Governments to put in place good infrastructure that will place them in good positions to earn the rights to host the tournament.

Of main concern is the setting up of good stadia, hospitality industry development and transport.

A delegation from CAF is expected in the country to start early set up of logistics in preparation for the big tournament.
