Kericho County gears up for 60th Mashujaa day celebrations

 Preparations at the Kericho green stadium, which is set to host the 60th Mashujaa Day Celebrations, are almost complete with organizers saying the exercise is in its final phase.

The ceremony is anticipated to draw a crowd of over 10,000 attendees, including dignitaries and distinguished guests. Extensive renovations and expansions have been undertaken to ensure the venue is up to the task of hosting the historic event, with much of the work now complete.

The celebrations, scheduled for October 20th in Kericho County, will be held under the theme of Universal Health Care. The theme is in line the government’s agenda to providing accessible, quality healthcare for all citizens.

The government is in the process of developing a health financing strategy which will contribute towards Universal Health Coverage (UHC)

President William Ruto has already announced the deployment of 100,000 community health promoters to villages as part of a comprehensive healthcare plan.

The health promoters are expected to deliver healthcare services directly to households, focusing on promotive and preventive health ensuring everyone everywhere can access health services without financial hardship.
