Kisii Deputy Governor Joash Maangi has said the County Government will continue working with the National government despite the victory of the Jubilee candidate in the just concluded Bonchari by election.
Speaking to KBC in his office, Maangi said as a government, Kisii County has de-linked development from politics in order to serve residents better.
The Deputy Governor noted that development projects had stalled in three constituencies following court petitions.
He hailed the Ford People Candidate Zebedeo Opore for his re-election.
However Maangi said as ODM, they still enjoy majority in the County and will continue supporting party leader Raila Odinga.
In the by election held Monday, Opore got 10,947 votes against his closest opponent John Oroo Oyioka who got 6,977 votes, while Charles Onyancha came third with 5,171. The seat attracted seven aspirants.
