KITWEK FM is a 24hr station that broadcasts in Kalenjin. It’s one of KBC’s vernacular stations. KITWEK means TALK and the tagline KIGASIN means WE ARE LISTENING.
The station covers the entire western part of Kenya; this includes Rift valley, Nyanza and western province and hit the airwaves on 8th August 2011 amid a lot of excitement. We are located at Broadcasting House, Nairobi. During our inauguration, we were heard in most Parts of Rift Valley, parts of Nyanza and Western regions.
KITWEK FM was launched on 26th August 2011and has widened our reach and also increased our listenership. Among the Kalenjin language Broadcasters, we are leading in listenership in North Rift and South Rift. A position we intend to keep.
We also provide a wide range of programs that cover every aspect of life so as to enrich the life of our listener.
At KITWEK FM, we hold a music library that has the latest and oldest songs. With such a library, we are able to cater for all ages of music lovers from those who want the latest to those interested in music of yesteryears.

Winnie was born in in Kericho County, and was brought up in Elgeiyo Marakwet County.She went to Kapkenda Girls and later Kenya Institute of Mass Communication. She has also undergone other media trainings under Internews, Media Council and BBC.
