Leopards had played four matches without a win

AFC Leopards recorded their first win since 8th June when they beat City Stars 2-0 in their Kenyan Premier League match played today at the Nyayo national stadium.

The Leopards had played four matches without a win since they beat defending champions Gor Mahia 3-1 early last month and today’s win is their only 5th in 18 top flight matches this season.

Goals from Noah Wafula and Austin Uzoremeke earned the Leopards the much deserved win and a morale booster heading into their next encounter against leaders Kogalo on Sunday at the Nyayo national stadium.

In other matches Michael Olunga scored a goal in the 72nd minute to earn Thika United a 1-0 win over Western Stima while Boniface Onyango and Eric Apul scored a goal in each half to gift Ulinzi Stars a 2-0 win over Mathare United.

Second placed Tusker FC beat KCB 2-0 at their backyard in Ruaraka as Sofapaka were held to one all draw by Chemelil Sugar.
