The all-white event dubbed Le dîner en blanc ( dinner in white) was launched in Paris in 1988 by François Pasquier and a handful of his friends. The picnic has since become an epicurean phenomenon that takes place on six continents; Nairobi, Kenya, Africa being one of them. Back in 1988, word of the white event got around by word of mouth, however, since the advent of technology and the rise of social media, that has changed. The marketing might have changed, but the principles have not:

  1. Guests continue to gather at secret locations
  2. Guests dress in all-white
  3. Guests gather for the sole purpose of sharing a meal together.

Speaking at the recent press conference, Susan Kaittany, co-founder Posh Palace said, “We like to think that Posh is a brand that likes to make people beautiful and le dîner en blanc is also a very glamorous, all-white, posh event. The brands are very interlinked. Inclusive in the package, Posh Palace will offer facials, manicures and pedicures all in an effort to the revellers feel glamorous.
