Media challenges parliament to ensure quality legislation

Parliament Thursday morning hosted the media to a breakfast aimed at making amends after last year’s spat involving the National Assembly and the fourth estate over operating space.
The breakfast organized by Speaker, Justin Muturi, and the senate leadership comes ahead of the parliamentary week which kicks off on the 28th of July and is aimed at sensitizing the public on the role and responsibilities of the bicameral parliament.
During the meeting the media was urged to report accurately and responsibly as well as prompt parliament to legislate on issues of national importance.
The media challenged parliament to ensure quality legislation, transparency and accountability as the people’s representatives.
