The year is just beginning and Turnup Travel wants you to look at Nairobi in a different light. The Nairobi tour dubbed #nairobaeIGtour wants you to forget about Nairobi’s woes, the mugging, the traffic and all the other annoying things that solidify President Trump’s shithole statement. On the contrary, Turnup Travel wants you to focus on the great things about Nairobi, the food, the hotels and all the city’s fun activities and then post them on Instagram. The tour starts on January 27th from 6 am to 6 am the following day.

Are you wondering what an Instagram tour is? “The IG tours aka the Instagram tours are basically trips that showcase the hidden treasures, faces and places, culture, food and beverages of a particular city. This helps create awareness and also gives participants an opportunity to be a part of an immersive experience. The aim of these citywide IG Tours is to have fun, give brands a canvas to plug and play and create social impact,” Michael Njeru, the head of Content at Turnup Travel said of the tour.

This isn’t Turnup’s first 24 hour Nairobi tour; the first tour took place in July 2017. Last year, the tour started on the 32nd floor of the UAP Towers in Upper Hill and this year the tour begins with an early morning game drive at the Nairobi National park.

In a statement published on their Facebook page, Turnup wrote, “Turnup Travel is turning one and we thank each and every person, who’s been a part of our first-year journey, for the support. It’s been one hell of an epic ride, Turnup fam. Let’s celebrate! Nairobi is now top 3 according to Trip Advisor’s “Destinations on the Rise.” Catch up with old friends and meet new ones, learn something new, share and while at it, showcase the beauty and pulse of the only wildlife capital in the world.”
