NPSC set to recruit 10,000 police officers

The National Police Service Commission is set to recruit 10,000 candidates for both the regular police and the administration police in a bid to strengthen the police service.
The recruitment scheduled for the 14th July will target youth below 28 years with a minimum of D+ in their Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education.
Those interested for the position will be required to write an application addressed to the chairperson, national police service stating preference attaching academic certificate and testimonies, copy of the ID and recommendation from a respected member of the community who should either be a head-teacher, religious or community leader.
Each applicant must indicate three referees and their contact numbers.
According to an advert from the national police service not more than two thirds of the recruited candidates shall be of the same gender, the recruitment will reflect regional and ethnic diversity.
The recruitment will be held in the former district headquarters across all the 47 counties.
