Recruitment of police officers commences

The National Police Service Commssion (NPSC) has begun a nationwide recruitment exercise to select 10,000 candidates to serve in the police service.
The commission said the recruitment exercise which kicked off today morning will be conducted in all the sub- counties countrywide and will be a one day affair.
6,000 of the recruits will join Kiganjo Police Training School, Nyeri while the remaining 4,000 will join the Administration Police Training College in Embakasi, according to the commission.
NPSC chairperson, Johnstone Kavuludi, said he had not received any complaint but warned against bribery to influence the exercise.
Commissioner Murshid Abdallah said the commission is working towards improving the working conditions of police officers as well as reviewing their salaries.
