Rugby referees to undergo training in South Africa

Two Kenyan rugby referees, Peris Mukoko and Victor Oduor left the country Thursday to attend a month long rugby training course at the prestigious Maties Referees Academy in Stellenbosch, South Africa.

Mukoko, currently  one of the leading women match officials in Kenya, and Oduor who recently officiated at the International Rugby Board’s Junior World Rugby Trophy in Hong Kong, will be trained on excellence, accuracy and promoting refereeing as a professional part of the game.

Oduor, will, upon completion of his course, proceed to officiate at the Confederation of African Rugby’s U-19 Division 1’A’ championships taking place in Windhoek, Namibia at the end of August.
