Security has been enhanced in Eldoret ahead of the Coalition for Reforms and Democracy (CORD) public rally that is expected to be led by former Prime Minister Raila Odinga Friday.

The rally had been cancelled but CORD leaders vowed to push on with it insisting that the police should provide security.

CORD Principals Raila Odinga and Moses Wetangula as well as a host of legislators are reportedly already in Eldoret for the rally.

They are expected to address the rally at 64 stadium Friday afternoon.

However, it is not clear if former Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka who returns in the country this afternoon will attend the rally.

Uasin Gishu Governor Jackson Mandago said the county government would provide all that is needed during the rally.
