Rwanda is now Kenya’s 5 largest export destination absorbing 3 percent of the country’s total exports. Rwanda now wants to gain entry into the Kenya market. The Central African country will next week showcase investment and trade opportunities in Rwanda at a trade expo in Kenya. Rwanda becomes the second country after South Africa to market its products in the country this month. The South Africans are currently carrying out a marketing campaign highlighting S.Africa’s Tourism market that receives 6.5 million tourists annually as opposed to Kenya’s 800 thousand. Kenyan diplomats are meeting in the Nairobi to strategize ways of marketing Kenya abroad on a similar initiative. Planning Minister Anyang Nyongo, says the diplomats performance will now be measured by their Economic output.
