Written By:KBC Reporter   , Posted: Wed, Oct 12, 2005

The Government is investigating whether some members of the Somali Transition government have any connection with Somali pirates holding hostage another ship with a crew of nine Kenyans. Immigration Assistant Minister, Anania Mwaboza said in Mombasa that Goivernment might cut ties with Somali Government if any of the war lords in the Government is linked to the gunmen. He said the government was astonished by the hijack of MV Torgelow near El Maan port in Somali where eight Kenyans were abducted with another ship. Last week, sea pirates of Somali origin released Kenyan hostages after holding them for more than a month.
