Joshua Makonjio has made it to the commonwealth semi finals of the light heavyweight boxing where he is due to face Adura Olalehin of Nigeria. Makonjio scored a 18-10 points win over India’s Ajay Kumar in the quarters. Kenyan heavyweight boxer James Wasao however failed to blast his way into the semi finals , when he was stopped in the second round by Australian Brad Pritt in Tuesday’s quarter finals. Elsewhere, West Ham qualified for the semi finals of the FA Cup for the first time in 15 years when they beat Manchester city 2-1 in last nights quarter final matches, thanks to Dean Ashton’s double. He struck at the end of the first half and halfway through the second to end the hopes of City. Tonights match will pit Liverpool against Birmingham. It will be live on KBC channel 1 from 10.45 pm.
