The fate of the six Kenyans among those hijacked in a Vessel in Somali is still unknown.
Kenya and Somalia governments are now consulting on how to secure the release of the six Kenyans captured by pirates off the Somali coast on Sunday.
Transport Minister Ali Mwakwere said he was ready to seek external help in line with the international anti-piracy convention to have the hostages released.
Initial reports indicated that the administration in Puntland had started negotiations with the pirates but World Food Programme says no demands for ransom has been made.
The latest hijacking brings to three the number of Kenyan owned vessels carrying WFP relief, pirated from the Somali coast within the past two years.
