The East African Law Society President Tom Ojienda has called on the Kenya government to enact legislations that will govern appointments to international organizations, which Kenya is affiliated to.
Speaking during a capacity building workshop for legal professionals in Kisumu on Saturday, Ojienda said appointments to international jobs, including nominations to the East African Legislative Assembly should be subjected to thorough vetting.
He called on the Government to speed up the nomination of members to the East African legislative assembly to end the current stalemate.
Separately, Law Society of Kenya Chairman Erick Okong'o Omogeni put lawyers who engage in unethical practices on notice, saying the respective branches of LSK had been empowered to weed them out.
