The Meteorological department is warning motorists of poor visibility as they approach Kinungi area along the Nairobi- Naivasha road.

The Met department also warned the motorists of the same weather conditions in Makutano in Thika.

Assistant Director of Meteorological department Peter Ambenje said some areas will experience a decrease in temperatures which will drop as low as five degrees Celsius at night.

Ambenje said the cold spell would run from this month to August this year.

He added that this follows an influx of cool winds from the southern parts of Africa.
