National junior champion Gilbert Kibett regained his winning form to beat Dennis Ochieng by two straight sets and qualify for the boys under 18 finals as the Kenya open junior tennis championships continued on Friday at the Nairobi club.
Kibbet who last week was bundled out in the ITF junior tourney in the group stages beat Ochieng by two sets of 6/2, 7/6 to cruise through to the final where he will now play Yash Rawal on Saturday.
Rawal qualified with a two-love victory over Kevin Kisoso.
Earlier, Cheryl Fuaso beat Gulam Sophia by two sets to one to lift the girls under ten title in the final.
Nikita Dawda qualified for the girls under 16 final after edging out Rhoda Chebet 6/1,6/2 setting up a final date with Chen Wendy who beat Nadia Fernendez by two sets to one.
In the girls under 18, which is being played on a round robin, Salome kanyeki enhanced her chances of lifting the title after beating Farah Fernandez by the same margin.
