Vice president Moody Awori on Wednesday made a passionate personal appeal to ODM leader Raila Odinga to agree to a dialogue with president Mwai Kibaki without conditions.

At the same time Awori called on the ODM pentagon members to restrain their supporters from engaging in violence.

Addressing a press conference in his Jogoo House office, Awori said those aggrieved by the outcome of the just concluded elections should seek redress through the legal channels.

The vice president said it is unfortunate that Kenyans are dying and the economy suffering a major blow just because of an election.

Awori called on ODM leaders to call off Thursday's meeting until calm returns in the country.
