Police have arrested six more suspects as the hunt for al-Qaeda mastermind Fazul Adallah intensifies.
The six including three relatives of Mahfudh Ashur are expected to be arraigned in court this afternoon.
This brings to eight the number of suspects mopped up in an operation that began Saturday night in Malindi, which Fazul narrowly escaped.
Two of the suspects were arrested on Monday while three others were picked up on Tuesday by officers from the Anti Terrorism Police Unit.
Mahfudh alongside his wife and son were charged on Monday with aiding and facilitating the terrorism suspect.
A team of the anti terror unit led by the squads head Nicholas Kamwende Monday evening conducted a search at the home where Fazul is alleged to have been hiding.
The search for Fazul has now been expanded to Mombasa and Kilifi towns.
Fazul is wanted over the August 7, 1998 bombing attacks on the American Embassy in Nairobi and Dar-es-Salaam.
A 325 million shillings reward has been offered to anybody who helps the police to arrest Fazul.
