Vice President Mr. Kalonzo Musyoka has asked Kenyans and foreign visitors to ignore the alarm raised by the reports of swine flu and visit various tourist attractions in the country normally.
The Vice President who was speaking Friday night at the residence of the Ambassador of the Czech Republic Mrs Margita Fuchsova during a cultural extravaganza to mark the end of the Czech Presidency of the EU,urged the media not to give prominence to the flu.
"Health authorities have indicated that this a mild flu so people should not fear. Go about your activities normally" he urged.
The Vice President hailed the strong cultural ties between Africa and Europe saying they will help foster economic development
He called for more tourists from Europe to visit Kenya and enjoy the country's diverse cultures.
"During these tough economic times it is important for the EU and Kenya to stand together. This is best demonstrated through people to people contact" he said
Kenyan leading musician Eric Wainaina was among a host of Kenyan and Czech popular musicians, who performed at the event.
