It is against this backdrop that medics in Africa are once again gearing up for the 5th Multilateral Initiative On Malaria Conference to assess the setback and gains in the areas of research, treatment and prevention in responding to the disease that continues to wipe out humanity.
Kenya will be hosting the conference set to kick off from 1st to 6th of November. This year's theme is dubbed "Building Knowledge For Action".

"Malaria kills close to a million people annually, this conference is expected therefore, to provide a unique forum to exchange ideas" said the minister.
