The Sarova Stanley has commenced live streaming of trading at the Nairobi stock exchange (NSE) from its exchange bar.
Speaking at the launch of the NSE LIVE held at the new Sarova Stanley hotel on Wednesday, the NSE Chief Executive Officer Peter Mwangi said that it was a remarkable achievement as it recommends the Sarova Stanley's history as a heritage hotel where NSE first began.
Mwangi added that the establishment of the new technology in the stock exchange will allow convenient buying and trading of shares
"Trading will be done virtually from the Exchange Bar through live streaming though the main trading will be done at the NSE headquarters at Nation centre," he said.
David Gachuru, the General Manager of the Sarova Stanley hotel said that the Group looks forward to turning the exchange bar into a home for live stock exchange view venue.
According to Gachuru, the repositioning is not aimed at going back to history but strengthening connections with customers.
"The Sarova Group has gone to great lengths to preserve the character, environment and the allure of its properties, spread in the best locations in Kenya," said Gachuru.
