World cup trophy coming to Nairobi

Caption: Coca Cola senior Franchise Brand Manager Pamela Mutua said that thousands of Kenyans are expected to view the FIFA World cup trophy on 14th at Nyayo Stadium.

Football fans who attend the World cup qualifier match between between Kenya and Nigeria will also have a chance to view the World cup trophy.

Through a projection screen sponsored by Coca Cola Company at the Nyayo National stadium, soccer fans will sample the gold trophy as they follow the match played at Moi International Sports Centre-Kasarani.

The World cup trophy tour fan experience is set to arrive in the country on Saturday 12th this month, the same day Kenya will be playing a crucial return-match against Nigeria to determine Kenya's qualification for African Cup of Nations in Angola next year.

Speaking at a press conference, Coca Cola senior Franchise Brand Manager Pamela Mutua said that thousands of Kenyans are expected to view the FIFA World cup trophy on 14th at Nyayo Stadium.

"This is a great achievement for the country especially since it comes at a time when the whole world is anticipating the FIFA World cup final draw at 2010 in South Africa," she said.

The trophy is awarded  to the  winning  Nation  at each  tournament  and the winners  retain it  until the next  round of the world cup.
