Turkey to partner with Kenya on ICT

Turkish government has expressed interest to partner with Kenya on development of the ICT sector ahead of the East African Community integration.

Speaking to Turkish Ambassador to Kenya Information Minister Samuel Poghisio said that Kenya has embarked on a wide ICT development to initiate development that will attract more investors in the country.

" With the launch of the fiber optic cable Kenya will remain an investment hub for investors wishing to invest in the EAC"

The Turkish ambassador was paying information Minister Samuel Poghisio a visit when he revealed that Turkey was planning to partner with Kenya on development of telecommunication ahead of regional integration.

Amb. Kayalar said that Kenya is a gateway to realizing EAC investment but urged the country to diversify trade and investment to capture the market .

Poghisio pointed out that Kenya has great potential for ICT and added that with the launch of the fiber optic cable in the country.
