Uganda will now play Mauritania in the final 2015 Nations Cup preliminary qualifying round after continental body Caf disqualified Equatorial Guinea over an ineligible player.

The Caf Organising Committee took the decision to disqualify Equatorial Guinea after a protest brought by Mauritania Football Federation.

Mauritania protested fielding of Thierry Fidieu Tazemeta in 1st round playoff of 17th May this year.

According to Federation of Cameroonian Football, Thierry Fidieu Tazemeta was born  in Mbouda Cameroon.

Caf said Equatorial Guinea did not provide evidence Tazemeta was eligible to represent them or complied with Fifa Statutes on change of association.

Mauritanian now proceeds to engage Uganda in final playoff round with 1st leg on 19th July in Kampala.

Winners over the two legs will join qualifying Group ‘’E that has four-time African champions Ghana, Togo and Guinea.
