Uhuru promises Kenyans peaceful campaigns

President Uhuru Kenyans has promised Kenyans of peaceful campaigns in the oncoming general elections and vowed not to insult his competitors in the race for statehouse.

Kenyatta said ‘he was leaving insults for National Super Alliance’ who are professionals in insults in their campaign because they have no agenda for Kenya.

His statement was referring to the constants attacks from Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho who have been at logger heads with the Jubilee administration.

The president was speaking in Malindi during campaign rally of Kilifi County together with his deputy William Ruto cabinet secretaries Najib Balala, Dan Kazungu, and Jubilee point man in Coast Gideon Mung’aro Tanariver Governor Hussein Dado among other leaders at the Cleopatra grounds.

In his speech the president said he would leave those insulting him in public to God but vowed to surprise them with a bigger victory than that of 2013.

He said those thinking insults would give him sleepless nights shall be proved wrong when they lose during the august 8 general elections.

“I don’t want to insult anyone, I leave it to those who are experienced in insults, they should not think that I don’t sleep because of their insults, I sleep,’’ he said.

Kenyatta said those who were spreading propaganda and insults had no agenda for the people as they failed to give solutions to the country during their tenure.

He said the NASA principals if combined have been in power for over 100 years if combined but have nothing to show to Kenyans in terms of development while their record si9nce they took power is evident.

“We have an agenda for Kenya , Kilifi, Malindi to make lives of people better, and bring prosperity to our nation, we have an agenda to unite people ,’’ he said.

The head of state said the era of leaders dividing people on tribal grounds was long gone.

“We shall defeat them in a big way, than in 2013, their aim is to spread hatred and enmity, it’s upon you people to decide for your future,’’ he said.

He said residents of Kilifi county will be settled the same way residents were allocating d land at Waitiki farm in Likoni to enable them own land.

At the same time he said those living in the land earmarked in the land earmarked for the airport expansion shall be compensated and dismissed those spreading propaganda that they would be forcefully evicted.

Ruto on his part said NASA has panicked and are trying to use the courts to stop the general elections on August.

“We are telling NASA that Kenyans are ready for elections and should stop playing games,’’ he said.

The Jubilee Party principles endorsed Mung’aro, Kilifi Senatorial candidate Amina Mnyazi, Senator Candidate Ken Nyale, and Malindi’s Phillip Charo among others.

The Jubilee rally was held barely a week after NASA held their grand rally at Alaskan grounds.

They later flew top Jomvu in Mombasa County for another rally.
