Women’s volleyball national squad named

The team is scheduled to leave for Mexico on the 21st of this month

The national women’s volleyball team head coach David Lungaho has named his final squad ahead of the FIVB Grand Prix Championship set for 27th -29th of this month in Mexico.

Edith Wisa will make her debut in the senior team and will fight for a starting role alongside Kenya Prisons veteran center player Praxcides Agala and Kenya Pipeline’s Ruth Chepng’etich.

Jane Wacu, Lydia Maiyo, Esther Wangeci , Mercy Moim, and Everlyne Makuto, are among the top players named in the squad.

Kenya Pipeline trio of Agripina Kundu, Gaudencia Makokha and Triza Atuka and former Kenya Prisons setter, Joy Lusanaka were dropped from the squad.

The team is scheduled to leave for Mexico on the 21st of this month where they play first round matches before heading to Croatia on the 1st of next month.
