Women’s volleyball team receives Kshs1.8M sponsorship

The team is scheduled to leave for Mexico on the 21st of this month

The national women’s volleyball team will leave the country Monday night ahead of the World Grand Prix set to be held in Mexico from the 25th of this month.

The team which has been training at the Kasarani gymnasium since the beginning of last month received a sponsorship of 1.8 million shillings on Monday from Kenya Pipeline Company.

The Sponsorship is expected to cater for the residential training and allowances.

Head Coach David Lung’aho is upbeat of a good performance in their debut appearance at the Grand Prix.

Kenya will be representing the Continent alongside Algeria at the Grand Prix in Mexico before heading to Croatia for the final leg.

The national team has been drawn in Group three that also includes Algeria, Kazakhstan, Croatia, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Mexico and Australia.
