12 parties sign coalition agreement to formally join Kenya Kwanza

Deputy President William Ruto says leaders who abuse the trust bestowed on them by the people aren’t fit to hold any leadership position.

In a direct attack on his political competitors, Ruto said, Kenyans are being subjected to politics of deceit and betrayal in reference to the ongoing wrangles in Azimio on decision making.

“The integrity of a leader is measured by their signature and their word. If the two do not mean anything then no integrity lies therein. If your signature means nothing then you do not deserve any leadership position in this country,” He said.

DP Ruto spoke at the Ngong Racecourse in Nairobi after 12 parties signed a coalition agreement to join the Kenya Kwanza Alliance.

The Alliance now brings together the United Democratic Alliance party associated with DP Ruto, ANC party associated with Musalia Mudavadi and Moses Wetangula’s FORD Kenya party.

Others are Chama Cha Kazi, Communist Party of Kenya, Devolution Party of Kenya, Economic Freedom Party, Farmers Party, The Service Party, Tujibebe Wakenya Party and Umoja, Maendeleo Party.

Ruto said, “This is an alliance of the willing, the alliance of the free. It’s about the people. That’s the difference with our competitors, their coalitions are of the intimidated, blackmailed, coerced and about leaders sharing power.”

DP Party Leader Speaker Justin Muturi said he will not be intimidated by impeachment threats after Jubilee party said they would remove him from his position for teaming up with Kenya Kwanza.
