A 15-year-old who last month killed a girl aged 11 years in Kasipul Constituency on Monday appeared in a Homa Bay court to answer to murder charges.

Michael Otieno Gono, a form-one student, committed the offence on 19th, June this year at Nduga village of Rachuonyo South Sub County, when he murdered Noel Adhiambo Midenyo.

The incident happened after the two, the suspect and the victim differed over a cattle grazing field in the area.

The suspect allegedly assaulted the victim who later died from bleeding.

Pathologists who conducted a postmortem at Rachuonyo Level-4 Hospital in Oyugis town confirmed that Adhiambo died of profuse bleeding which led to collapse of the heart.

The blood on the right side of the chest affected crucial internal organs like the heart, causing instant death according to the autopsy report.

The report indicated that the girl was hit with a blunt object on her right ribs which caused a fracture on 4th, 5th, and 6th ribs.

He was unable to raise the bond and was taken to be remanded at Manga juvenile home in Kisii until 13th of October this year when his case will come up for hearing.
