Defender Eugene Asike and goalkeeper Robert Mboya have extended their stay at 11time Kenyan premier league champions Tusker FC after signing one-year contracts.
Asike first featured for the brewers between 2015 to 2018 before rejoining the side on a one year contract from sofapaka in and his deal was set to expire in August 2020.
His stay gives head coach Robert Matano more options in a defence line up which t includes: new addition Christopher Oruchum, Vincent Ngesa, Ugandan Rodgers Aloro and Gabriel Wandera.
Robert Mboya also agreed to a 1-year extension and will battle for the number 1 slot with Emery Mvuyekure and Michael Wanjala.
Meanwhile, newly signed defender Christopher Oruchum has expressed his desire to help the former champions register impressive results ahead of the new KPL season.
Oruchum who penned a 5 year deal with Tusker having featured for AFC leopards two years said :
’’having a joined a team that was high flying in the previous season I hope and pray that I will also add something and help the team achieve greater success ’’.
Tusker Fc was ranked third in the 2019/2020 Kenyan Premier League season that was cancelled following government’s directive on the control of the spread of Corona Virus with Tusker lying third,8 points off the leaders’ pace.
