17,278,552 COVID-19 vaccines administered across the Country

24,116 vaccines were administered in the last 24 hours while 13,260 people were fully vaccinated against COVID-19 during the same period.

As of March 17th 2022, a total of 17,278,552 vaccines have been administered across the country, 7,949,911 people are partially vaccinated while 7,906,540 are fully vaccinated.

According to the Ministry of Health, 1,154,110 doses have been administered to those between 15 to 17 years while 267,99 one booster doses have been administered.

At the same time, the positivity rate remains at low 0.4% after 18 people tested positive for the disease, from a sample size of 4,732 tested in the last 24 hours.

From the cases, 16 are Kenyans, 2 are foreigners while 9 are males and 9 females.

The youngest is a one year-old child while the oldest is 67 years.

Nairobi County leads with 6 cases while Kiambu, Nakuru and Uasin Gishu have 2 cases each and Embu, Kisii, Kwale, Makueni, Mandera and Turkana 1 case each.

19 patients have recovered from the disease, all of them from the Home-Based and Isolation Care

Meanwhile 19 patients are currently admitted in various health facilities countrywide, while 124 are under the Home-Based Isolation and Care program.

1 patient is in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and is on ventilatory support while another 4 patients are on supplemental oxygen in the general wards
