DCI detectives have launched investigations into the murder of an 18-year-old man and his girlfriend in Umoja, Nairobi county.
Their bodies were found last evening at their Umoja Zone 8 house in Kamukunji, and detectives have appealed to anyone with information that could help in investigations to come forward.
According to the DCI, the deceased mobile phones went unanswered for days promting the grandfather to show up at his grandson’s door.
The door had been locked from outside using a padlock, and the grandfather alerted Buruburu police, whose officers went to the scene and and gained entry.
The officers found the bodies of the two inside a bloody house a scene indicating fierce struggle before the two were killed.
The body of the 18 year old man lay on the floor in the bedroom, neck tied with an auxiliary cable while his hands were tied with a piece of cloth.
He had multiple stab wounds on the back and a deep cut on the neck.
His girlfriends body was just near the toilet soaked in blood, with multiple stabs on the shoulder, breasts, lower abdomen while her hands were tied from behind with a piece of cloth.
Some household items were missing among them a 43″ TV set, two laptops, a music system and the victims’ mobile phones.
Crime scene investigators processed the scene for crucial leads and secured the exhibits.
Detectives have vowed to fast track investigations on the murders saying the perpetrators will be brought to book.
