Senegal born Khaby Lame becomes most followed man on TikTok

Khaby’s humorous facial expressions coupled with his silence have led him to become the most followed TikTok account.

Two years after he created an account on TikTok and  after losing his job during the pandemic, Khaby Lame has emerged the most followed person on the app.

22 year old Khaby is known for his videos in which he silently mocks overcomplicated life hacks. Khaby’s parodies have racked up millions of views and propelled him to worldwide fame. This coming from a pastime he discovered in the throes of pandemic boredom. He has no overthrown  Charli D’Amelio (USA), who has held the record since March 2020.

Khaby was born in the year 2000 in Senegal before immigrating to Italy a year later. Right before launching his TikTok account, he worked as a machine operator in a factory in Turin. Unlike most TikTok stars, his rise to fame has been entirely organic. He doesn’t try too hard and his authenticity always shines through. He now stands at 143.2 million followers.
