4000 schools to take part in Copa Coca cola tournament

A total of 4000 Secondary Schools in the country will take part in this year’s Copa Coca cola tournament up from 2000 Schools that participated last year.

The tournament in partnership with the Kenya secondary school Sports association will involve students between 13-16 years.

In the opening matches at the Zonal level played today at Upper Hill secondary school, powerhouse Olympic secondary School thrashed Raila education centre 2-0.

The games have been sponsored to a tune of Kshs 15 Million that will see Coca-Cola Company cater for full kitting of schools participating in football at Sub-Zonal, Zonal, Regional & National Championship and also  buy trophies and medals for all games, as well as run seamless administration of the program.

The Copa cocacola championship has produced many football stars in the country including Victor Wanyama of Tottenham Hotspurs,Dennis Oliech, and Macdonald mariga among others.
