480 people have tested positive for the disease, from a sample size of 5,120 tested in the last 24 hours bringing total confirmed positive cases to 190,183.
The positivity rate is now 9.4% while cumulative tests so far conducted are 2,028,927.
Out of the new cases 459 are Kenyans while 21 are foreigners with 245 males and 235 females.
The youngest is a two-month-old infant while the oldest is 100 years.
Five patients have been reported to succumb to the disease. All of them are late deaths reported after conducting facility record audits in the months of October and November 2020 and June 2021.
This now pushes the cumulative fatalities to 3,737.

148 patients have recovered from the disease with 81 from various health facilities countrywide while 67 are from Home-Based Isolation and Care.
Total recoveries now stand at 180,080 out of which 143,700 are from Home Based Care and Isolation program, while 36,380 are from various health facilities.
A total of 1,075 patients are currently admitted in various health facilities countrywide, while 4,486 are under the Home Based Isolation and Care program.
121 patients are in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), 37 of whom are on ventilatory support and 58 on supplemental oxygen. 26 patients are under observation.
Another 216 patients are separately on supplemental oxygen with 200 of them in general wards and 16 in High Dependency Units (HDU).
A total of 1,565,344 vaccines had so far been administered across the country. Of these, total first doses are 1,030,853 while second doses are 534,491.
The uptake of the second dose among those who received their first dose is at 51.8% with the majority being males at 55% while females are at 45%.
Proportion of adults fully vaccinated is 2.0%.
The uptake of the second dose by Priority Groups is as follows: Aged 58 years and above 165,200, Others 151,715, Health Workers 101,020, Teachers 74,206 while Security Officers are at 42,350.
