5 K’Ogalo players to miss Stars friendly with Malawi

By Frederick Muoki

Five Gor Mahia players who participate in the Kenyan Sportpesa Premier League Boniface Oluoch, Musa Mohammed, Harun Shakava, Ernest Wendo and Kenneth Muguna won’t be part of the Harambee Stars team that will play against Malawi in an international friendly match scheduled for 18th of this month.

The players miss the tie due to club commitments.

In the absence of keeper Boniface Oluoch, Harambee Stars head coach Stanley Okumbi had called AFC Leopards young stopper Ian Otieno to replace the current Harambee Stars first choice keeper.

Meanwhile, Kenya U-20 ladies soccer team is slated to take on their counterparts from Jordan on 9th September this year in a friendly international match.

The friendly will be used to sharpen the team and ensure that the senior ladies national side, the Harambee Starlets, doesn’t run short of talents in future.
